THERMAL IMAGING INSPECTION REPORTS

Specialists in Thermal Imaging, Christchurch

The B.I.C. Thermal Imaging Reports

With a Thermal Imaging Inspection the Building Inspection Company will report on any abnormalities that may be found, we will scan the entire house looking at any critical points, also using a non-invasive moisture meter to confirm if moisture is present. You will receive an easy to read report with colour photos of any arrears of concern.

Infrared thermal imaging is a quick, non-invasive means of investigation, it confirms moisture migration paths, whether it be from internal plumbing, condensation or from external weather related leaks. It also has the advantage of evaluating the effectiveness of the homes insulation.

The disadvantage of thermal imaging is that this method cannot detect subsurface damage as it only detects surface temperature differentials.

What we do:

  • We will do a thermal scan of internal walls and ceilings taking thermal images when needed.

  • Thermal abnormalities and high risk areas are double checked using the non invasive   moisture meter.

  • We do a thermal scan of the exterior as well as a visual inspection.

  • Comments are also given around maintenance issues when it comes to weather tightness    with recommendations given.

INDUSTRIAL, COMMERICAL & MANUFACTURING

  • Maintaining your systems and locating any abnormalities will give you trouble free running and increase safety and efficiency.

  • No need to shut down equipment for inspections.

  • Non-invasive testing of equipment such as large motors (engines), large pumps, conveyers, machinery and all aspects of plant equipment and buildings, including potential wiring problems and electrical overloads, allowing for repairs or replacement before failure or potential fire, saving money and down time.
